During these 21 Days, the daily guide found on this site will provide you with stories of campus awakenings historically, Scriptures to pray and prayer points related to building abandoned devotion to Jesus Christ in this generation and wholehearted commitment to the global proclamation of His gospel. There are also suggested ways to daily integrate your intercession with everyday life through questions to ponder and think through.
Commit yourself to gather together daily with a small group of your friends, a Global Prayer Team, or with your student body and pray together through the prayer items for each day. This “togetherness” in this season will provide encouragement and accountability when the going gets tough. If you cannot do this, then tell a friend that you are fasting and will commit to a certain amount of time daily to pray. Encourage that friend to periodically hold you accountable to the fast and daily time commitment.
Each prayer point is to be seen as a launch pad for prayer and intercession. There have deliberately been only a few given. You are encouraged to spend time going as deep as possible about that particular point, allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you with what to pray regarding each point as you wait upon Him. Ask Him to show you what is on His heart regarding that particular prayer point or something totally different. Then wait upon Him to speak to you and trust that He will lead you. This entire season of prayer and fasting is only effective according to the measure that we allow the Holy Spirit to orchestrate it and lead according to His will.
Pray the following overarching prayer every day, multiple times a day. It is an easily memorized, easily recited prayer that prayed often and with heartfelt faith could revolutionize the student mission world.
“Oh Father…Lord of the Harvest, raise up 100,000 new message bearers who are zealous for Your name, full of humility and of the power of the Holy Spirit, and bring forth a mighty harvest of millions of the lost from the hardest places around the world for your glory.”

You are encouraged to journal during your fast. This practice is an indispensable one. When the Lord is teaching something from the Scriptures or you sense the Lord is speaking to you, write it down and keep a record of it. Make a regular habit of this and in doing so you will produce have multitudes of journals that detail your spiritual history with God. Often we quickly forget what God has done or promised to do. But in this manner we can continually remind ourselves of lessons He has taught and experiences we have had with God.

You are encouraged to pray the Scriptures that have been provided in the following categories. Each of these Scriptural prayers is vital to prepare your heart to enter into intercession. The Scriptures have been changed slightly to make them into an actual prayer format. Meditate upon each Scripture as you pray through them. Ask the Holy Spirit, who is the teacher of all truth (John 16:13) to open your eyes, to a greater degree, to grasp the deep implications of each Scriptural prayer.
