Welcome, Message Bearer! God’s brought you to this point in your life, and he will continue to equip you and bless you as you follow the path before you to be a Message Bearer in your generation.
Your Journey Awaits
The path before you is difficult. It is a touch climb that will take commitment, perseverance and help from others. There are distractions that could keep you from embarking. There are pitfalls and obstacles that will try to keep you from your goal. Even family members and friends may not be supportive. In order to be successful in your journey, you need to make a plan, get equipped and get some others around you that will help you out. As you get closer to your GO time, you will need some connections to a good opportunity that will allow you to serve among the least reached, using your specific gifts, skill-set and passions. SVM2 will be with you each step of the way. That’s our commitment to you!
What You Can Expect from Us
As a Message Bearer, twice a month you will receive the Message Bearer Memo email that will provide you with encouragement and challenge to stay the course. Once a month, you’ll get the Abandoned Times e-newsletter each month that contains relevant and challenging devotionals, as well as updates from around the world of how God is using our generation to reach the unreached. Also be on the lookout for a phone call and a some specific emails along the way.
We want to walk with you on your Message Bearer Journey, so make sure you keep your personal contact info updated, and that you keep us informed of how you're doing. We love hearing from you!
Some First Steps - Enlist Prayer and Emotional Support:
1. First, pray right now and commit your journey to the Lord. Then, share your commitment to be a Message Bearer with your pastor and with your campus fellowship leader or a spiritual mentor. Ask them to pray for you and ask for their advice as you pursue this commitment.
2. Share your commitment to be a Message Bearer with some friends in your church or fellowship. Ask them to pray and help you pursue this lifestyle and commitment.
