This coming Friday begins a season of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting for the Student Mission Movement (February 15-March 6). Many are being stirred that God indeed has a sweeping and widespread unified and collaborative movement on the horizon that will envision hundreds of thousands of today's emerging generation to their role in the literal fulfillment of the Great Commission in our lifetime. Of these we are together asking the Lord of the Harvest to prepare, equip and anoint at least 100,000 who will actually make it to the most difficult harvest fields of the earth to reap a mighty in-gathering through long-term service.

How might such a vision be realistically accomplished? It is through the development of intentional and focused collaborative national efforts across the denominations, campus ministry organizations, and training institutions of a given national church. These national collaborative efforts are for the purpose of together pursuing the common goals of the movement and for training, equipping and exhorting the emerging generation toward these ends through the ministries of the denominations, campus ministry organizations and training institutions of the country. The Student Mission Movement that God is building must be owned in each national context and pursued with vigor and fervency in these contexts until focal points of the movement are being pursued in a unified, widespread, saturating manner. Through such focused activity, and the indispensable anointing of the Holy Spirit, multitudes will be impacted and sent forth unto the nations as spiritually prepared message bearers as a result. Without such focus and intentionality across the spectrum of those serving the emerging generation in a given national context, this vision is just a dream. Yet God is raising the banner of collaboration and unity around critical themes in His body and the student world grasping the call to reach the nations in this hour, internalizing such a call and reproducing it on their campuses and in their ministries is definitely such a critical theme. There is a revival arising among the emerging generation globally. Yet this revival is not an end in itself, but a beginning purposed by God to prepare His bride with ravished hearts of love unto Jesus. His purpose is that these devoted lovers then go forth to serve Him with joy among the forgotten of the earth!

On the website you will find a daily prayer guide (as well as resources and articles to envision for the fast and to teach about prayer and fasting) drawing your attention to various items. Use these items to pray through and seek God in intercession. You are encouraged to pass these on to student ministries and churches to utilize in their prayer meetings. Integrate them into Global Prayer Teams and small groups of prayer in your sphere of influence. May we each commit ourselves to prayer and fasting in this season in whatever way the Holy Spirit might lead. May we stand fast as we seek the face of God to have mercy on us as we "Return To The Fountain." May the student mission world internationally be drawn into tremendous intimacy with Jesus which results in their hearts being saturated with His own heart for all peoples. May the Holy Spirit be moved by the cries and intercessions of His beloved children to respond with a mighty outpouring in this generation that brings forth the sought after revival. May such a move of God culminate in the development of movements of young believers on campuses committed to raising the standard of revival which is worked out as we envision serving wholeheartedly among the nations. May the Lord of the Harvest be pleased to send out a mighty and anointed army of bond-slaves ready to lay down their lives for the sake of His glory and renown being declared and displayed where today it is not.
