The most important source of leadership information you will ever have is the Bible. To become an effective message bearer, your leadership must become increasingly Bible-centered. Yet more than 15 years of experience working with leaders around the world has convinced me that while most Christian leaders believe leadership is important they do not view the Bible as the seminal textbook on the subject.
I'm not saying most Christian leaders don't know anything about leadership or what they do know is unbiblical. What I am saying is most Christian leaders do not view the Bible as a primary source for leadership, don't know where to look in the Bible for leadership insights and do not have a well developed toolbox of study skills to refine biblical application principles that will info more >
Staying Focused as the Fullness of the Kingdom Comes
By Ryan Shaw Ryan is the international lead facilitator of SVM2 and lives among the unreached. He can be contacted at ryan@svm2.net.
Matthew 24 and 25 are two chapters that are essential for the Church of Jesus Christ globally to grasp and to give herself to considering with attention and intention. The implications of these chapters are great for the Student Mission Movement. They help us prepare for events internationally that are to come and cling to Christ in the midst of them while also reminding us to remain focused on the work of the Kingdom while we wait in anticipation for His return. Chapter 24 unveils with staggering clarity what the days surrounding Jesus' return will look like. The disciples had asked Jesus about the things that were to come and what some of the signs of His coming would be (v.3). In response, Jesus discloses these things very openly by laying out four primary "signs" of His coming and of the end of more >
Community Economic Transformation

Much of the poorest of the poor of the world today are also the "least reached peoples" amongst us as well. I am sure you are familiar with all the statistics, so I won't labor on that front. What I do want to say though is that "community economic transformation" provides a strategic opportunity for us to see "His Kingdom Come" amongst all the peoples of the world.
When God called Abraham out from his homeland, it was a call made with a promise-responsibility. The promise was that God was going to bless him, the responsibility was that, he is then to "be a blessing to all peoples." This is the cornerstone and the foundation of the New Testament great commission as well, i.e. "to be a blessing to all peoples." What does it mean to be a blessing to all peoples. I believe it is a "complete ( more >
Church Planting Movements - Part 4: Inhibitors
By D Stewart D Stewart coaches church planting movements and lives among the unreached. He can be contacted at abandonedtimes@svm2.net.
In this series of articles we have been examining various aspects of Church Planting Movements (CPM). Underlying the various aspects has been the assumption that God is at work and that to invest in CPM is to partner with Him in the expansion of the Kingdom here on earth. Another underlying theme has been that CPM is spiritually organic. The Church is the Body of Christ and as such it is organic and should be growing and reproducing. Organic things are beautiful and miraculous, but they are also fragile. All organic things (in this world) struggle to live, grow and thrive, often in environments that are not conducive to their survival. In the previous articles we examined how God has produced CPM in the past and what we can do to partner with Him to promote the growth of CPM. This article will more >
