Area Coordinator, Michigan
Barbara facilitates SVM2 in the Michigan area. She is an ordained minister in the Reformed Church of America where she has served on the staff of several churches. She is founder and president of Hope for the Nations which includes Perspectives on the World Christian Movement a 15 week mission training course, a campus mission training program for young adults, a missions discipling program YODA to mentor and train young adults seeking to serve Christ cross culturally.
Hope for the Nations emphasize ministry to Muslims offering an annual Samuel Zwemer Conference.
Barbara has led mission teams to serve Reformed churches in Cuba for six years The ministry in Cuba includes training and resourcing pastors, resources for youth ministry, funding evangelism programs, resourcing and funding lay leadership development and seeding new church starts.
